I am in 8th Grade

In 8th grade, you should begin to focus on what classes you will take in high school and what new activities will be available. During your last year of middle school you should:

  • Take pre-Algebra or Algebra I.
  • Take English and begin taking a language other than English.
  • Take the PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test).
  • Focus on your classes and keep up with homework assignments.
  • Learn good study skills and work habits that you need to be successful in high school and college.
  • Continue to develop your leadership and citizenship skills by getting involved in clubs, teams, or volunteer service.
